After having a week of school off which left me no time to get anything that I needed done, we finally got shopping done, gifts wrapped, packed and got the suburban all loaded and ready to go to Montana. Our first stop was Big Sky ski resort . We skiied there from Sun 21-the 24th then headed on to Billings MT to my sisters house. The car ride was tense, as our trip started with tons of falling snow, ice and a long ride ahead of us! Getting through the Gorge was unbelievable. I just kept praying for safety. God was with us. Over all, the kids did fine. We made it safe and 15 hours in the car was long enough. As we got to Big Sky, it was like the fighting quickly ended. It was beautiful white fluffy snow with sun, out door heated pools, walk out the door ski lift and we were all in awe at how wonderful of a vacation this was going to be. We checked the little boys in daycare, so we could unpack, walk around the ski area and get aquainted. It was so great to be just a family with no worries or cares, Only time together. Skiing was terrific and I got to enjoy the boys on the ski lifts, which is quality chat time, sharing peace and quiet....you get the point. A few more hours onto my sister Kristen and her husband Parker's house. What an adorable house. It was fun to finally see them in their own environment! Christmas eve, we enjoyed a wonderful homeade dinner and catching up time. Christmas day was more skiing with them at their local favorite place....Red Lodge. It was great. The boys had a great time showing off for Aunt and Uncle. We felt that God was with us each and every moment on this trip. We shared a great vacation, enjoyed our time, and were kept safe. Our trip home again was intense as we went through every type of weather imagineable. Lots of bad accidents, and again we were kept safe and the boys traveled so so well. Unfortunetly, we only have a few pictures to share. The last ski day, the last run of the day, Mark took a big fall and although, he was not hurt, he lost our camera which documented opening gifts, our tree, the bad weather we left in, the car ride, the messy hotel, the pools, the ski resort area, the smiles, the cries......but this trip hopefully will remain in everyone's hearst forever!
